Day in Quito continued

For lunch, which was our favorite food experience, we went to a beautiful restaurant called Altamira, owned by a wonderful young French woman who has lived in Ecuador for years. The cook is Ecuadorian, so the food was authentic Ecuadorian food for the most part and was delicious! I had 2 types of empanadas, one with plantains inside and the other with white corn and cheese inside, then grilled beef, and for dessert, sopa de chocolate!
